About Me...

Since I began my passion for art in the early 1990s and I have continued to try to challenge myself as an artist. Inspired by artist like Jacob Lawrence, Seurat, Degas and Norman Rockwell I strive to make sure that I’m always introducing new techniques while stay true to my traditional artist’s roots. I was trained in traditional graphic design and illustration having earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts from Morgan State University. I have worked as a freelance graphic designer since 1999 creating logos and graphic design for apparel.

Using the traditional mediums as well as digital tools I have developed an love for children’s illustrations. I enjoy taking a project from a simple thumbnail sketch or idea to a fully integrated, fully developed product. I love to create whimsical characters and landscapes that speak to every child while still including culturally diverse images.

I have worked as an educator for the past 14 years and I enjoy helping my student bring out their creative side through various cross curricular projects and activities.

Originally from Long Island, NY I currently reside in Drexel Hill, PA.
